I'M THE COLOR OF LEAVES... Read the full description.

Br_logo_small I'm the color of leaves
I am blood
I am snow
I am home to an eagle
And serpent, his foe.

This is a riddle about the Mexican flag.  It's our Cinco de Mayo riddle.  Now that you know it's a flag, the clues are fairly easy to interpret.   But one player, casting about to solve it, heard 'home to an eagle, and serpent his foe' and thought perhaps it's an egg.   Arucauna chickens lay eggs with pale green shells (surely Dr Seuss had these in mind) ... and there is that tiny dot of blood in a fertilized egg.   Which is to say that this alternative is a good egg in deed.

NEW RIDDLE:
Small but stout
Two wrestlers meet
Neither one
Ain't got no feet.

(answer:  see 5/19/12 piece)
