The development of Interstate 69 through Indiana is divided into six sections from the Indiana/Kentucky boarder up to Indianapolis. Last week was the groundbreaking ceremony for Section Four, which runs through Greene and Monroe counties. This week, the Indiana Department of Transportation held an informational open house at the Monroe County Fairgrounds, regarding Section Five - which picks up section Four in Monroe County and travels north to Martinsville. WFHB News Director Alycin Bektesh was on hand and brings this report from INDOT representatives and concerned residents, for this WFHB feature exclusive.
