Walking into the big red stable off Ohio Route 50, the first thing you’ll notice are the chirping barn sparrows that have moved in for the summer season. The second thing is the horses.
As they whine away hoping for more oats or maybe a nice brush down, three get prepared for their important job as therapeutic companion.
Welcome to the home of the Cincinnati Therapeutic Riding and Horsemanship program, near Milford. The center was founded in 1985 and provides horseback riding sessions for children and adults with disabilities.
But this center offers more than just a chance to ride a horse. CTRH volunteer, Michelle Hanna, believes these sessions grant a rider with a sense of inner peace.
