Teddy Garcia, an 8th grader at McKinley Middle school, came to Youth Media Project’s 2011 Summer Intensive at the Santa Fe Art Institute. Her story is one of hardships, growing up around drugs and ending up going to different foster families. She describes her life like a river. In her words, “This is about my story, like a river, and how I got adopted.”
