- From
- Paul Ingles
Blues/Rock/Pop star Bonnie Raitt is emerging from a 7 year studio layoff with a new record and tour. It's an opportune time to hear about her new music (Slipstream, released April 10) and revisit her remarkable career and personal story. So award-winning producer Paul Ingles is adding Bonnie Raitt to his "Emergence" series on important musicians of the last 50 years - which so far has included Bob Dylan, Paul Simon and Joni Mitchell (all still available at PRX for summer play - consider running the whole series as a holiday special).
The Emergence of Bonnie Raitt: In the Slipstream is available in one or two-hour versions (including optional news holes) exclusively through the Public Radio Exchange. The program includes exclusive interview material with Bonnie as well as the voices of many Bonnie's colleagues, friends including Jackson Browne, Taj Mahal, Beth Neilsen Chapman and journalists like NPR Music critic Ann Powers.
