An estimated four hundred thousand Ukrainians are now living with the virus. As producer H?l?ne Michaud discovers, a new face of the virus is merging: more and more young people who do not belong to marginalized groups are getting infected.

Ukraine has one of the fastest growing HIV Aids epidemics in Europe.

A little over ten years ago, there were just a few hundred registered cases, now over four hundred thousand Ukrainians may be living with the virus.

In this new media campaign a famous Ukrainian pop singer says she?s just been tested and there?s nothing to be scared about. And that testing and treatment are now available ? free of charge.

The campaign shows the new face of aids in the country: more and more young, healthy people and their children are becoming infected.
