When Arthur gets sick, Dave and Sam pick up Stephanie and bring her home to see the dog. On the drive, Dave tells the kids stories about the first dog he knew and loved in his childhood—Scout. A small-town dog, Scout enjoys his freedom, including livening up the occasional  church service.  And Dave, Stephanie and Sam remember all of their favourite things about Arthur.
