Yinghua Academy is blazing new trails. In 2006, the Chinese-immersion school opened in Northeast Minneapolis as the first of its kind in the Midwest, with just 76 students. Today the student body is comprised of more than 400 children, and the school receives more than twice as many applications annually from parents hoping to enroll their kids.
