In this edition of "Anishinaabe Way," Staci Lola Drouillard with WTIP North Shore Community Radio speaks with Fond du Lac elder Rick DeFoe. DeFoe gave a brief interview while attending an anti-sulfide mining rally in Duluth, Minneosta in March of 2012. He discusses the role of tribes in protecting clean water, including children in such activities and explains the importance of eagles to Anishinaabe people. Read the full description.

Staci is a descendent of the Grand Portage Band of Lake Superior Chippewa who lives in her hometown of Grand Marais, Minnesota.  Music for the series is by Minnesota Ojibwe artist, Keith Secola.
