David was born in Buffalo, New York, attended high school in southern Indiana, attended the Berklee school of music, has been a resident of Nashville from 1993 to 2012, played guitar for John Prine, Steve Earle, Lucinda Williams and many others, and currently resides in Los Angeles, California.
