Two years ago the U.S. Supreme Court assigned corporations the status of personhood. In so doing, they ushered in a new era of voter control through, what has become known as, the super Political Action Committees, whereby the top 1% of this country are heavily invested in the outcome of the elections.
Common Cause, a nonpartisian, nonprofit advocacy organization, is launching an Amend 2012 Campaign that gives citizens the tools they need to organize and conduct petition drives and lobbying campaigns in support of voter initiatives and referenda in their states and localities.
