Raised in Duluth, Maria Bamford graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Creative Writing. Bamford began her career as a standup comedian at the age of 19 when she debuted at Stevie Ray’s Comedy Cabaret in Minneapolis. Since then she has been featured in two Comedy Central Presents specials. We salute Minnesota’s own, Maria Bamford, for proving that women can be funny too.
