For Women’s History Month, we spotlight Kate Herzog, a Minnesota woman with a vision of helping children from her native country, Ghana. Read the full description.

Kate_herzog_small Kate Herzog graduated from St. Thomas with an MBA and was able to make her vision reality with the House of Talents, a global business whose main mission is to alleviate poverty. House of Talents locates beautiful products produced by African artisans and gives them some startup money to sell their goods and get out of poverty. Kate says that the system is based on trust and that along with money; the program offers training to compete with the market as well as market options that will remain a sustainable economic benefit. Now, products from the House of Talents are in upscale stores and the money she receives back she sends to children in Ghana for schooling.
