Liza Johnson
02/09/11: Author Liza Johnson, a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist, has enjoyed a private psychotherapy practice for 25 years in Huntington, New York. She also leads workshops and groups and is now focusing her attention on care givers of elderly parents. Several years ago she came into her writer's self as she gave care to her mother who was entering into the last stage of her life. Liza ended up writing a book called "Take Me Home: Walking on Sacred ground in the Last Stage of Life (Finding Meaning / Sharing Wisdom Caring for the Elders)."
As a psychotherapist, Liza creates an environment that encourages curiosity and self exploration. She helps her clients value all levels of their experience: personal history, dreams, body symptoms, paranormal realms and spiritual development. Liza offers a vision of psychotherapy as a sacred journey that challenges self-limiting boundaries of possibility. Because Liza has spent most of her professional life studying a multitude of ways to understand the complexity of being human, she provides her clients with a multifaceted lens.
