INTERNAL BAROMETER COMING WITH AGE... Read the full description.

Br_logo_small Internal barometer
Coming with age
The more it is damaged
The better the gauge.

This is a riddle about arthritis.   Barometers are tools that measure changes in the atmospheric pressure.   They're good predictors of rain.   But once you've got a few aches and pain, you'll have a barometer in every joint.   The functionality of arthritic joints is the incongruity that makes this riddle puzzling.   How can something that's damaged work better?   What do you think of this alternative answer:  hot flashes.  Age is no friend of the delicate calibration of the female thermostat.

NEW RIDDLE:
I have three legs
Yet hobble not
Mis-Matched my legs may be
And I would hail
By different name
If I had four not three.

(answer:  see 2/11/12 piece)
