Under the Sun tells the stories of South Florida.
I'm Alicia Zuckerman.
When the baseball player Mark Buehrle (BUR-ley)became a Miami Marlin last month, he didn’t move to Miami.
He moved to Broward County.
That’s because Buehrle// owns a pit bull. And in Miami-Dade County -- that’s illegal.
The ban was passed in 1989 after a series of gruesome pit bull attacks in South Florida.
But this month, bills have been filed in the Florida legislature that would overturn any law banning a specific breed of dog.
A while ago, we asked Under the Sun listeners for their six word memoirs about life in South Florida.
