Review of The Thanksgiving Hour 2005Outstanding Program! Top Quality! This is radio the way it should be! This program exemplifies the kind of lively, timely, well-researched program I like to hear! Par excellence on the hosting! The musical pieces were expertly fit into the program and very well balanced for a program with exceptionally good flow. The live USAF performance recordings were perfect for the day. The new releases aired in the program were exceptional. In short, the presentation of this program cannot be beat. This is the best program I've heard in a long time. |

Review of The Thanksgiving Hour 2005That was a great show. I learned a lot about the history of Thanksgiving. You must have done alot of research (and work) to put all that together. Music was good too -- excellent in fact! I did not know that Canada also had a Thanksgiving celebration as you revealed they do. Your revealing of the reason for the Pilgrims real desire to leave England and other parts of Europe and their establishment of the first church in America is something not widely known and was very meaningful for me to hear. Your discovery of the two new pieces of music by Nancy Osborne were delightful to listen to. The live patriotic orchestrations by the various United States Air Force Bands were perfect for the day -- and the insertion of the swing medley certainly livened up things toward the end of the program -- at just the right spot. I have never heard a barbershop quartet as sensational as the fellows you had on your program. They are the best I've ever heard -- and I have heard a lot of barbershop quartet in my days. That final number by the Boston Pops and the singing group with them doing "God Bless America" really ended the show with a favorable impact! Wow! You're getting five stars from me on this one! |

Review of The Thanksgiving Hour 2005
Interesting, informative and entertaining would be my description of this program. The precise timing of interjecting music and humor to the historical facts made the program flow smoothly. Each time that I heard the turkey gobble, it brought a smile to my face. The graphics were amazing! I look forward to hearing more programs like this in the future.
