Piece Description

In 2004, Jerry Springer the Opera was birthed in London and became a hit on the West End. The foul-mouthed opera based on American's famous bull-pit television talk show so impressed the British stage that the BBC decided to broadcast it on television, incurring the wrath of a mobilized Christian movement. The dueling voices of the debate over Jerry Springer are played out in operatic fashion with help from the soundtrack of Jerry Springer The Opera.
