In the 1940s, the songwriting team of Johnny Burke and Jimmy Van Heusen were most commonly known as Bing Crosby’s songwriters. It’s true that most of the work they did during that decade was for Crosby’s films, and such successes as “SWINGING ON A STAR, SUNDAY, MONDAY OR ALWAYS, & MOONLIGHT BECOMES YOU” certainly reveal a successful collaboration. But Burke & Van Heusen created memorable music away from the Crosby stable as well, including the early Sinatra hit “Polka Dots & Moonbeams,” and The wish-fulfilling, wistful “Imagination”. ….And, from the score of the hit Paramount musical comedy “And The Angels Sing”, this timeless warning, set to music, sung in the film by Dorothy Lamour and Fred MacMurray, years away from those “Three Sons” of his. With Tanner Taylor at the piano, Here’s Burke & Van Heusen’s extremely cautious anthem, “It Could Happen To You”
