Media scholar Robert McChesney called the book a “masterpiece.” Bill Moyers said it was a “highly readable and engrossing story.” And Malkia Cyril of the Center for Media Justice deemed it “haunting and prophetic.” Think they’re reviewing the latest Stephen King novel? Hardly.

The nonfiction book News for All the People: The Epic Story of Race and the American Media has been garnering interest and accolades since Verso published it last October. The book made it to the New York Times bestseller list in November.
