Jungle files is a blend of sounds recorded in the Upper-Amazon Rainforest Basin in Bolivia. These are raw digital recordings. You will hear: frogs, storms, birds, bugs, rivers and beasts. Put the headphones on and transport to the deep jungle. It's loud out there, almost deafening at times and the howl of the jungle can be exotic and unnerving at the same time. I would often lurk into dense foliage, set up the DAT recorder and a couple of mics, start recording, leave the scen and return in an hour. What I heard was the sound of the earth evolving, breathing and living.
Producers might like these sounds for anything dealing with rainforest issues or environmental programs. This seamless montage can just be enjoyed on its own.
Program note: The first few minutes of audio are an overlapping audio overview followed by long sections of raw, unedited sound. On the last few minutes listeners will find a musical interlude called "Drem River" which incorporates the jungle sound with original music by Steve Skinner.
