Louisiana State University football games are a staple of life in the city of Baton Rouge. But the pre-game tailgating is an even bigger draw. On game days, the tailgate stretches for a mile or more in every direction away from Tiger stadium. New Orleanians have long been known to make the trek up to Baton Rouge for the weekend parties. So for Crescent City residents whose lives were turned upside down by the recent hurricanes, home games this season have been a welcome, though brief, return to normal. From member station WNPR, Amy Jeffries, has this audio postcard.
