On this episode of "Art Beat" we feature Minnesota author and farmer Gordon Fredrickson. Gordon writes children's books that reflect real life events of rural MN farm life in the 1950's. Pulling from his own experiences from childhood and incorporating accurate detail in storybook form - Gordon's goal is to preserve our heritage of farm life from a time gone bye. In April Gordon gave a talk on his life experiences at the Winona History Center in Winona MN - and also shared a reading with the audience. Today we let you listen in to Gordon's tale, experiences growing up on a dairy farm, and what inspired him to write.
