Intro and Outro
INTRO:HOST INTRO:
Boston is home to two major centers of study on Alzheimer's disease, but after a decade of research, drug development, and clinical trials with Alzheimer's patients, there is still no medication that halts the disease's progress.
In part two of our five-part series of special reports, “Fade To Darkness: The Age of Alzheimer’s,” Rachel Gotbaum reports that some scientists in the Alzheimer's research community say they now know what went wrong, and are getting closer to finding ways to treat, and perhaps prevent, Alzheimer’s.
OUTRO:HOST OUTRO:
That report from Rachel Gotbaum in Boston. Tomorrow in our series: many scientists say early diagnosis of Alzheimer's will be crucial in fighting the disease, even though there is still no cure.
Our series, "“Fade To Darkness: The Age of Alzheimer’s,” continues all this week on (your program/station.)
