Marion Hodges: Hi, I’m Marion Hodges and I’m here with actress, Busy Philipps, best known for her roles in “Freaks & Geeks” and “Dawson’s Creek”. She currently stars in the ABC comedy, “Cougar Town”. Today, we will be playing excerpts of songs she’s selected that have inspired her over the years as part of KCRW’s Guest DJ Project. So, Busy, hi. Welcome. Thanks so much for coming down to the basement here at KCRW and hanging out for a minute.
Busy Philipps: Thanks for having me.
MH: So, what did you bring for us?
BP: The first song that I chose is a song by Tori Amos.
It’s “China” from “Little Earthquakes”. I think I was 14 or 15, and my Dad gave me Tori Amos’ “Little Earthquakes” and the Red House Painters’CD, “Red House Painters”, and those two CDs sort of carried me through my musical journey from then on out.
