Roy_acuff-greatest_hits_vol When he was born in Maynardville, Tennessee the first Model-Ts were rolling off the assembly line in Michigan; children were making brand new friends with stuffed “Teddy Bears;" and to the east, two brothers would soon set the human spirit soaring on the windy beaches of Kitty Hawk.  1903 set the stage for many modern transformations, but it would be Roy Acuff, born that year, who would, in many ways, hold onto the elements of a simpler time; emulating the sounds of whistling trains and towering gospel.
