WHERE DOES THE MOON GO? ... Read the full description.

Br_logo_small Where does the moon go?
Where does it set?
Tell me this, but tell me not more
In yonder house the answer's found
With sliver on the door.

This is a riddle about an outhouse.   The first thing we hear about is the setting moon, and we think of the sky.   Then in the last line we find there's a sliver on the door, and we wonder if it's a sliver of wood or a slice of the moon.   Yet as we mull all this over in our minds, we realize it's not the moon in the sky at all!   It's our own dear moon setting on the privy seat.

NEW RIDDLE:
Upon a ladder I will climb
Until the ladder none can find.

(answer:  see 9/24/11 piece)
