August 13, 2011 Full-Time Blues Radio: Evan Watson
Series: Full-Time Blues Radio
From: John Luttrell
Length: 00:58:55
Evan Watson joins Johnny on the telephone to discuss his career, which currently includes an opening slot on Def Leppard's current tour with Heart. In addition, we feature music from Evan's first two albums, including his 2011 8-song EP South.
Originally from Crawfordsville, Indiana, Evan Watson didn't anticipate his future including a career in music. His gritty, soulful vocals and skillful songwriting took him to New York in 2007, where he soon found himself presented with a path to stardom. That all changed, as things in the music business often do; and Evan has found new focus as an independent artist.
After being hand picked to open for Meat Loaf on his most recent tour, Evan landed a slot opening for Def Leppard and Heart on their summer 2011 tour. His genre-bending style incorporating elements of Blues, Folk, Rock, and Soul is gaining significant buzz and tons of new fans. http://evanwatson.com
