Its time for a good old fashioned gay, teen love story, courtesy Victoria Cruz of Radio Rookies (and they have a bunch of new features up there, BTW, so check 'em out!). This one is about two young women who live in New York City and got to high school. That’s pretty much all you need to know. It is short, to the point, and you’ll feel like you are having a casual conversation with the reporter that easily slips into moments of profundity.
The original feature can be heard here.

ReviewI enjoyed listening to this, and it made me smile. True love is always beautiful. I just hope that Vikky is able to come out to her grandmother without any problems. I think at the end of the day, her grandmother will except it and learn to love her anyway. I applaud these two young ladies, for having the courage to love each other everyday knowing that they could face hate, and a whole lot of ugly. That's what you call love, and that's what makes this relationship so beautiful. |

the piece that i decide to write about was Best Couple by Vikky Cruz of Radio Rookies
this piece was about a girl named vikky cruz who is a lesbian who has a family who isn't really accepting of how she is i feel like vikky doesn't really know what her families reaction is going to be and that is part of the reason why she hasn't told any one .
i cant really relate fully because of the fact that i am straight but i do have a good friend who is gay though he is not in a relationship he still doesn't know exactly how to tell his family. What i really loved about this piece was that it really showed true love it showed how much the two really cared for each other . through all the trials of a teenage relationship
one thing that i found bad about the piece was the part about the prom and how vicky and dione could be prom queens because they are lesbians i just think that the world has to get out of that mind state. but in all i think the piece was very well put together and informative
