DAVID: On a sunny first day of summer, in a canal house garden in the center of Amsterdam, I’m sitting with spoken-word performance artist-activist Alix Olson. A slam poetry champion, she introduced the emerging urban literary genre to Holland at Rotterdam’s Poetry International in 2000. She was voted OutMusician of the Year, as well as Best Activist in 2004. But she’s also been called one of the Ten Most Dangerous Women in America… Hard to imagine as she beams her sunny smile my way. Who is Alix Olson?…
