This third episode about the development of the electic guitar was especially inspiring. Since I am a piano player, I've often been jealous of how much attention the electric guitar gets in rock music. Now that I have learned about the rise of the guitar owing to electification, I am hopeful that future developments in electronic music may rescue the place of the keyboard and other traditonal music instruments. (Though I personally love synthesizer music very much, it is very much a background instrument in most rock music and most other classical instruments have just disappeared..)
