Intro and Outro
INTRO:It's time once again for football. From Pop Warner to the NFL, players are putting on their helmets and cleats and getting ready to take the field. Back in the day, writer Graham Shelby was one such player, for a while anyway. He loved the game and when he grew tall enough, he decided to join his high school team. That, he says, was his first mistake.
OUTRO:Graham Shelby comes to us from Louisville,
Kentucky, where he writes, watches football and raises triplet sons, none of whom have shown any interest in their dad's favorite sport.
