DC: This is the second of a two part program in which we continue our conversation with the outlaw, Clyde, not his given name. Many of the musicians who help steer this conversation have struggled with human and world affairs similar to Clyde?s. We just heard Les McCann and Eddie Harris making a few apt comparisons in Compared to What? When we last left Clyde, he was just leaving the army and comparing it to life in Los Angeles.

DC: You were in the army for 2 years, or??

C: Well, it was about 3 years and then I got out and then I just drifted, I went down and lived with some friends of mine that were trying to make it into acting down in L.A. and they were just completely crazy.
