Honyockerdreams_small David Mogen recently retired after a long career of teaching literature of the West, Native American literature, science fiction, and special topics in frontier mythology and science-related literature at Colorado State University.

He has published four books, including Wilderness and Ray Bradbury, as well as two edited anthologies of original essays, The Frontier Experience & the American Dream and Frontier Gothic. In 1994, he received the Pennock Distinguished Service Award from the University.

His new memoir, Honyocker Dreams: Montana Memories is about growing up in the post-frontier world of the Montana Hi-Line.
