
The family of Henry Frazier evacuated his two sons, one son's girlfriend, and her 9 month old dauther as the water was rising in their 9th ward home. They escaped through an upstairs window. They put the baby in an ice chese and walked in water several feet high, floating the infant, to the Convention Center. There they saw the horrors so widely reported - violence, neglect, and filth.
They made their way to Mr. Frazier's in Kansas City with the generosity of strangers they met at gas stations, who gave them money for their gas and food.
