This touching dramatised reconstruction, is based on the extraordinary discovery of the love letters of two Russian Jews living in Stalin’s Russia. Evsee and Nadhezda Lubitski, a married Jewish couple are abruptly separated by the KGB when Evsee is kidnapped to act as Stalin’s look-alike double because of his uncanny resemblance to the terrible dictator. Through EVSEE’s eyes and love letters to his wife, the complete history of the Stalinist regime is revealed from inside looking out.
