In this hour of The Blues & Beyond, we have some encore albums - - the album "Encore" by guitarist Fred Fried and his band Core, offers some unusual jazz on a guitar with eight nylon strings. We'll hear a few pieces from that including one in a challenging time signature, 7/4, and we'll also visit a piece from an encore album from trumpeter Cindy Bradley. "Unscripted" is the follow-up to her 2009 debut album "Bloom." We have a new album from vibraphone master Stefon Harris, "Ninety Miles," with trumpeter Christian Scott and sax player David Sanchez, and we'll listen in on a return to Return To Forever, with Chick Corea, Stanley Clarke and Lenny White of Return To Forever, from their new album called "Forever." We'll pick a song that features Chaka Khan singing with the Return To Forever guys. Plus, a new project from Pat Metheny taking on an old surfing music hit on solo guitar, and James Brown on the night train and New York Voices with a fine version of a James Taylor song.
