Cyberbullying hurts. I count myself as an expert for being bullied. In Vietnam, my home country, my classmates wrote mean blog posts and messages about me. They wrote nonsense things about my looks, my way of life, and my study. For example, one guy wrote, “She looks like somebody from the countryside.” When I came here a year ago, I thought that the U.S. would have even more cyberbullying. Sadly, I was right. Same as in Vietnam, cyberbullying hurts the victim. But, it also hurts the bully.
I know someone who was both a bully and a victim. Last year, my friend, Jenny posted mean things on the Yahoo blogs of two girls at school. She accused them of cheating. Within a couple hours, my friend got six lengthy comments and received 60 phone calls. Two days later, when I went to her house to see if she wanted to go for an ice cream cone, she told me what happened. She was still crying. It b...
