THE ARTISTS
THE HARLEM STRING QUARTET
The Harlem String Quartet has been praised for its “panache” by The New York Times, and is “bringing a new attitude to classical music, one that is fresh, bracing and intelligent,” according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. Since making its acclaimed Carnegie Hall debut in the fall of 2006, the group has since gone on to grace stages around the world. In 2009, the quartet performed at the White House for President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama, and made an appearance Christmas morning on NBC’s Today Show. Bringing superb artistic skills and versatility to a wide range of repertoire, the quartet has performed with such legendary musicians as Itzhak Perlman, Chick Corea, Misha Dichter, Paquito d’Rivera, and Carter Brey.
