Finally...the Blues Project! Read the full description.

Logo_small This week we feature a set of tunes from the original jam band: the Blues Project. Based in New York, the Project blazed new ground, not only as the first rock band to incorporate long improvisations into its live sets, but as one of the first bands to tour coast-to-coast as an independent entity, playing mostly college campuses as they worked their way out to San Francisco in time to influence such newly-formed bands as Jefferson Airplane and the Grateful Dead. Speaking of the Airplane and the Dead, we have tracks from them too this week, as well as Jimi Hendrix, the Kinks, the Spencer Davis Group, the Lovin' Spoonful, the Doors and many more. All this in two hours.
