Afghanistan seems like an unlikely destination for a summer vacation.  If the travel advisories published by the State Department were not enough to discourage visitors, access to the country itself remains difficult.  However, despite continuing military campaigns in the country, several organizations have taken the initiative to develop tourism in Afghanistan.  Sarah Dwider has the story.
