Rev. Nicholas Onyach (Own-yak) witnessed the 1994 genocide in Rwanda. Later, in his homeland of Kenya, he watched his two brothers die of AIDS. This priest has seen immense suffering caused by ethic strife, poverty and disease. However, he says he has never seen a natural disaster take such a toll on humanity like Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. As pastor of two small Louisiana churches, he reflects on the test of faith of displaced people.
