Norwegian pianist/musicologist Sigurd Slåttebrekk carefully studied all nine of the acoustic recordings that Edvard Grieg made in Paris in 1903 of his own piano pieces, enabling Slåttebrekk to play Grieg in the same manner as the composer. The music includes several of Grieg's "Lyric Pieces," three movements of his "Piano Sonata in E Minor," and the entire "Piano Concerto."
