B. B. King recently celebrated his 80th birthday. Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown recently died at age 81 following a long battle with cancer. His Louisiana home was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina just before he died. Both artists list T-Bone Walker as the major influence on their careers, but their musical strengths were very different-- as were their personalities. The piece includes a few remarks from David McGee, author of the new B. B. King biography "There Is Always One More Time."

Review of Blues File: B. B. King & Gatemouth Brown
Interesting comments on the contrast between B.B. King and the late lamented Gatemouth Brown. Gatemouth gets my vote on this one.
