- Bluegrass Review #1117
- From
- Philip Nusbaum
We’re taking advantage of the recent uptick in new releases by playing them. Then on our Gem of Bluegrass, listeners usually focus on the singing and solos during a bluegrass band performance, not rhythm of a bluegrass band. But the rhythm a band plays is oh so important. Today’s Gem explores bluegrass rhythm. We play a couple of recent songs that reflect the Dust Bowl experience. Later, we talk to Kristin Scott Benson, banjoist for the Grascals, and she plays some of her originals for us.
