Pa180096_small When the earthquake hit, Shinji Ishikawa was at work on the 13th floor where the large trading firm he works for in Tokyo is housed. He never expected the destruction that followed, and he though Japan was better prepared than it was, but he still feels hope and has discovered new pride. We met Shinji when his company sent him to Maine to study English for a semester and he became a volunteer intern at Blunt Youth Radio while he was there.
