Bearing witness.
This weekend, as the mornings rise from the dawn, there is a deeper stillness in the air. We wake and remember that something is happening elsewhere and though we can bare witness to it we can do little to alter it’s course.
It is not the revolutions occurring in the middle East; Tunisia, Yemen, Egypt or even the current cruel madness occurring in Libya. These are caused and effected by our human instincts and temperament. Our actions have and continue to play out and effect the geopolitical world we life in.
No, the 8.9 earthquake and Tsunami that hit Japan this week came as a roar of pain from Mother Earth when the Asia and Pacific plates compressed and buckled under the sea.
