KALW's Hana Baba visited the neighborhood and met some members of the local Afghan community to see how they’ve made this their new home.

HANA BABA [on a busy street]: I’m on the corner of Fremont Blvd and Bond way, that’s the 37000 block of Fremont. There are many Afghani restaurants around, Afghani groceries, even some insurance companies that have Afghani names on them. I am at a market, an Afghan market called Maiwand Market, and it's very noisy here, you can hear the intersection. So I'm going into Maiwand Market on Fremont Blvd to talk to some of the people here.
