A poet and dramatist, she reads from her first novel that has been 40 years in the making, WHERE I MUST GO, winner of the American Book Award in 2008. She also reads from her poetry books, DARK LEGS AND SILK KISSES: THE BEATITUDES OF THE SPINNERS, winner of the 1994 Carl Sandburg Award and from her 1998 collection of new and selected poems called AND ALL THESE ROADS BE LUMINOUS.
