Default-piece-image-1 Host Intro: By now many of you have heard at least parts of New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin's stinging criticism of the federal government's response - or lack there of - to Hurricane Katrina. Mayor Nagin's more than ten minute outburst took place during an interview with New Orleans radio station WWL, the day before President Bush toured the stricken area and four days after Katrina had left hundreds of New Orleans residents dead and tens of thousands more stranded - many without food, water and shelter. Producers Dan Collison and Elizabeth Meister of Long Haul Productions took excerpts of Mayor Nagin's 'rant' and set them to music - a song written and performed by Jolie Holland who once lived in New Orleans.
